Tai-Qigong Foundations
Join us for a wonderful journey into mind and body through the healing movements of Tai Chi and Qigong. We will integrate movements from classic and modern styles of Qigong with a simplified 8-form set of movements based upon the principles of Yang style T’ai Chi. Additional forms will gradually be added as appropriate. Both practices will synthesize gentle, flowing movements, rooted postures, relaxed breathing, and a tranquil mind.
Often referred to as “meditation in motion,” regular practice may contribute to better balance and increased focus and endurance. Other benefits include a calm and focused mind, better stress management, increased energy, and creativity.
Class content is appropriate for beginners and intermediate students from ages 18 to 108! Accommodations will be made for a variety of fitness levels. Seated practice will be offered as requested.
