Taiji Quan (T’ai Chi) Foundations
Join us for a wonderful journey into mind and body through the healing movements of T’ai Chi. You will learn a simplified 8-form set of movements based upon the principals of Yang
style T’ai Chi. Additional movements (forms) will gradually be added as we explore the
popular Yang Style 24 Form T’ai Chi practice.
The class may be used as an introduction to the foundations of T’ai Chi, a complement to current T’ai Chi/Qigong skills, or as an inspiration for continued studies. The instruction will not focus on martial art skills but will address energetic expression through movement and inner awareness, important skills that may inform future martial arts development. Often referred to as “meditation in motion,” regular
T’ai Chi practice may contribute to better balance, increased focus and endurance and a
tranquil mind.
Class is perfect for ages 18 to 108!
